Unlike the 2011 World Cup when skipper MS Dhoni had several bowling options as Sachin Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan, Virender Sehwag, and Yuvraj Singh were more than handy bowlers apart from their batting skills. As a matter of fact, Dhoni used Yuvraj excellently as the left-arm spinner and took several vital wickets for the Men in Blue.

At present, the Men in Blue have several all-around options including Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja, but these players have not been able to replicate the performances when compared to the likes of Sachin Tendulkar or Yuvraj Singh.

The likes of Hardik and Jadeja have performed well for their team, but they have also been in and out of the Indian squad after suffering injuries. However, both Jadeja and Pandya are expected to play a vital role in the upcoming 2022 T20 Asia Cup and try to give a match-winning effort at crucial junctures.
