1. Lack of experience
One of the main reasons for team India’s disappointing outings during the 2019 and 2021 World Cup was the inexperience in the batting line-up. The Men in Blue lost to New Zealand in the semi-final fixture after chasing just a score of 230+ runs in their allotted 50 overs as their top and middle-order crumbled under pressure.
The Men in Blue also opted for a very young squad during the 2021 World Cup based on their performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Team India crashed out of the tournament after the group stage matches as they lost to their arch-rivals Pakistan for the first time in a World Cup match.
The Men in Blue will not want to repeat the same mistakes for the upcoming 2022 T20 World Cup to be played in Australia. India will be under the new leadership of skipper Rohit Sharma who will want to stamp his authority in the international arena.
