The 2021 T20 World Cup will go down as one of the worst performances by Team India. Even after having such a strong squad, they failed to capitalize. This is mainly because of poor selection and management. Adding on, the bio bubble fatigue has hampered their performance.

After losing the opening game against Pakistan, the Team opted for Ishan Kishan in place of Suryakumar Yadav. But, the question was where to include him in the lineup? The management and senior members opted for a KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan combination.

This was a disastrous move as both of them failed. Adding on, Rohit failed as well. Hence, there was pressure on the middle order. Even Mahela Jayawardene, the head coach for Mumbai Indians, stated that they should have gone with the Rohit-Rahul combination.
