5 Bollywood actresses who married cricketers

Anushka Sharma is one of the leading Bollywood actresses at the moment. This pair has dated each other for quite a long time and there were quite a few ups and downs in their relationship.

However, ending all the rumors and speculations, this pair tied the knot in 2017. They share an immense love for each other and often spotted spending quality time together despite the busy schedules. It is believed that this pair first met each other during an ad shoot and have fallen in love ever since then.

2. Mohammad Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani

This wedding was quite a controversial one and definitely a roller-coaster ride.  Azhar took the whole world on to marry Sangeeta who was an actor and a model. The ex-Miss India met the stylish cricketer for a photoshoot of a commercial. Azhar was one of the most stylish cricketers back then and his wristy shots grabbed everyone’s attention. However, Azhar was already married to Naureen earlier and had two sons.

At the same time, Sangeeta too was handling a bad break-up with one of the leading Bollywood actors almost at the altar of their marriage. She found solace in the warmth of the company of Azhar. It didn’t take too long for love to blossom between them. In 1996, Azhar divorced Naureen and married Sangeeta in the eye of a media storm. However, he divorced Sangeeta in 2010.

3. Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech

Yuvraj Singh is undoubtedly one of the biggest match winners for India. There were several rumors of Yuvi being in various relations earlier but he put curtains on all of these when he tied the knot with Hazel Keech in 2017. Hazel Keech is a British−Mauritian model who came to India when she was 18. Hazel decided to stay back as she got quite a few modeling offers.

She first appeared in the Tamil movie Billa in 2007. Later, she has played a few other roles in movies like Bodyguard. She was one of the housemates in Bigg Boss 7 but was eliminated in the first week itself. Hazel was also a celebrity guest on Jhalak Dikhhla Ja 6 and Comedy Circus. Further, Hazel danced on the item song Aa Ante Amalapuram in the 2012 film, Maximum, starring Sonu Sood, Naseeruddin Shah and Vinay Pathak which helped her with her stardom. 4. Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore

Tiger Pataudi is the Former Indian skipper and is a terrific batsman. Hailing from Royal origins, Nawab Pataudi is known for his outstanding fielding skills. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is the most famous of the three and is a renowned actor. Sharmila also championed the cause of eye donation. After the death of her husband in 2011, Sharmila ensured the left eye of Tiger was donated to Venu Eye Institute.

5. Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge

Zaheer Khan is one of India’s most premier fast bowlers. The left arm bowler was the spearhead of the Indian bowling attack for a very long time. In 2017, he tied the knot with Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge. These two were rumoured to have been dating for a long time. In fact, they attended quite a few events together. These rumours first surfaced when this pair attended Yuvi-Hazel’s wedding together. Sagarika also attended a few IPL games to cheer her man.

Sagarika is extremely famous for her role in the movie ‘Chak de India’. In the film, she was seen dating a cricketer Abhimanyu. And in real life, her heart found its way to Zaheer’s heart. Although there wasn’t any official confirmation, Sagarika posted a picture on Instagram about their engagement clearing the air.
