Former New Zealand fast bowler and coach of Kiwi team Bond is described as ‘New Zealand’s best fast bowler since Sir Richard Hadlee.’ The speedster was equipped enough with skills to take away colours from a batsman’s face while he came with his action. However, his reoccurring severe injuries took a big toll on his international career.

He could only appear in limited matches for the Black Caps as he struggled with his injuries. Virat Kohli never faced him in the international zone, and neither the pacer ever played against RCB while plying his trade in IPL. If the chance could have been there, Kohli might have struggled against him given Bond’s dangerous pace combined with control and accuracy.

His fastest delivery was also regarded against India in the 2003 World Cup. As Kohli’s past instance suggests his struggles against fierce right-armer Southee, it can be imagined that the 32-year-old might have struggled against Bond too if they would have faced each other on the field.
