With the Indian premier league 2021 successfully ending on October 15 with CSK being the champions,  the next big event is T20 World Cup 2021, all set to start on 17th October for the qualifying group stages and on 23rd October for the Super 12s. The IPL players just have a breather of a week to join the national sides.

The T20 World Cup 2020which was to be held in Australia was then postponed due to the pandemic and in August 2020, the ICC confirmed that India would host the 2021 tournament as planned, with Australia being named as the host for the succeeding 2022 tournament. However, in June 2021, the ICC announced that the tournament had been moved to the United Arab Emirates due to growing concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic situation in India and due to the estimated third wave situation at the time.

The United Arab Emirate’s cricket pitches are expected to slow down and might give an added advantage to the bowlers due to the continuous usage of the pitches right from the IPL. Fans have also not seen the usually high-scoring T20 games of over 200 runs in this phase of IPL. So fans can expect more bowlers to emerge as the match winners for their national sides. The economy of the bowlers plays a crucial role in this format, and here is the list of players who could trouble the batters in this edition of the T20 World Cup.

5 Bowlers who can trouble batters in T20 World Cup 2021

The Indian newbie “mystery spinner” looks like a player to watch out for, in the tournament. Varun is called so, because of his plenty of variations in his bowling. He can bowl the off-Spin, leg-Break, the carrom ball, the chess ball, and many more up to 9 variations.

Chakravarthy has been in an exemplary form in this season’s IPL with an average economy being lesser than 7. He has played just 3 games in the Indian colors in the T20 format and is yet to make an impact.

He definitely could dominate the batters in the conditions prevailing in UAE but the fitness concerns of the player worry the BCCI and the team.
