Blessed with an exuberant voice and pretty articulate dialogue delivery, Sanjay Manjrekar so easily could’ve avoided getting into this list. But the former Indian cricketer is always in the news for the wrong reasons and often tends to pick out some vague points, which neither is compelling nor makes sense on occasions.

He received a lot of criticism during the IPL for how biased he was whilst Mumbai Indians were playing. During IPL 2017 Hashim Amla had hit a 100 in the first innings and after the innings was over, the Mumbai players went over to congratulate him and Manjrekar went on to say, “I’m sure the umpires will award fair play points to Mumbai for this.”

There’s nothing wrong in appreciating a team spirit but incidentally, he spoke very little about how well Amla had played, which didn’t go down well with the fans. This has happened on a lot of occasions during international matches as well and it really is perplexing to see so many commentators voicing biased opinions on such a frequent basis.
