3. Bails fly in the air, settle back on the stumps:
October 12, 1950 was a very, very fortunate day for Australian batsman Neil Harvey. While playing in a district game for Fitiroy against Essendon, Marty Dillon’s ball hit Harvey’s stumps. The bails were tossed in the air, but like a boomerang, they returned and sat in the grooves on the top of the stumps – like magic! The umpires examined the stumps and declared Harvey not out!
