When the Windies left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed was asked about the most outrageous thing he did on a cricket field, he was quick to mention about his shoe removing incident after taking a wicket during the Stanford Twenty20 in 2009. It was a great moment for him as he felt his supporters would love to see his extraordinary celebrations.

It was one of the rarest celebrations on a cricket field as he removed his shoes after dismissing the batsman stumped. When asked to give an explanation Dave said, “In the Caribbean, if a spinner flights and invites the batsman to step out of the crease and gets him out stumped, it is a huge moment to celebrate. The spinner removes his shoe, behaves as if he is dialing a phone and talking. It is their way of asking: who called you outside the crease?”
