At a very young age, Siddharth Trivedi managed to attract the selectors with his nippy pace bowling. He was a part of the U19 World Cup 2002 squad where he picked up 9 wickets in 7 games. The pacer continued to be an impressive performer at the domestic level and was therefore picked by the Rajasthan Royals for the inaugural edition of the IPL.

He impressed one and all right away and even earned plenty of praise from former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne. While it all seemed to be going well for him, he was dealt with a big blow. In 2013, the news of spot-fixing within the Rajasthan Royals team broke out.

During the police investigations, Trivedi revealed to police about several fixing approaches. However, he didn’t report any of these. He was found guilty of breaching the BCCI anti-corruption code and was banned for a year. Siddharth played his last first-class game in 2015.
