4. Sanath Jayasuriya has more ODI wickets than Shane Warne

In sports, the calibre and greatness of a player is defined by the performance he gives on the field. And, each performance gets recorded in a statistical format in the cricket books. Now, what if we say that Sanath Jayasuriya, the former opener from Sri Lanka was a better bowler than Shane Warne in ODIs?

Shane Warne, the former leg spinner from Australia is undoubtedly one of the best spinners in the history of cricket. He grabbed a total of 1001 wickets across all the formats. And, it is most by a bowler in international cricket. But, at one place Sanath Jayasuriya left him behind when it comes to bowling.

Jayasuriya has grabbed more wickets then Shane Warne in ODIs. Yes, the former Islander ended up taking 340 wickets whereas the former Aussie leggie ended up with 293 wickets to his name.
