1. Ajit Agarkar’s fastest fifty for India in ODIs

But, none of them holds the record for hitting the fastest fifty for India in ODIs.

Fans will be surprised to know that the fastest fifty for India in the 50-over format was scored by none other than the former Indian fast bowler, Ajit Agarkar. In 2000, on a fine day, he came out to bat in the 44th over of the innings against Zimbabwe.

He took the charge from the very first ball of his innings and ended up scoring a fine knock of 67* off 25 balls studded with four sixes and seven boundaries. It was one of his fine days in cricket as he managed a three-fer in the same game. It’s been two decades but that record stands till date in Indian cricket. Agarkar bid adieu to cricket back in 2013 from all forms of cricket.
