5. Karun Nair
Only the second Indian cricketer after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century in Tests, Karun Nair is a fluent stroke-maker, who relies more on timing than sheer power. He has already participated in 68 IPL matches for four different teams and smashed 1459 runs at an average of over 25.
He is known to be a good thinker of the game and has also captained the Mysuru Warriors team in the Karnataka Premier League. He currently plays for the Kings XI Punjab team in IPL. With age on his side and the cricketing brain he has, Nair will definitely get his chance to captain an IPL side in the future.
