England’s current best spin bowler from the England team, Adil Rashid is the second player from the team who in spite of having a strong case for himself to be included in the ICC Men’s ODI team of the decade, missed out and was not included in the side.

His exclusion was one of the biggest talking points after the release of the names of the players included in the team. This is after given the way he has led the team’s spin attack, making sure that in 50-overs cricket, every player who came into the side saw someone who they could look up to.

In spite of having that sweet smile and humbleness on the field, on his day, Rashid in a literal sense torments the batsmen. Having featured in 101 One Day International matches, Rashid’s credentials did make a strong case for him to be named in this coveted team alongside the greats of the game. Rashid, who still continues to be an integral part of the English bowling setup has taken 152 wickets at an economy rate of 5.60 runs per over and his performance has been as great as ever in the last few years.
