Amelia Kerr took the world cricket by a storm when she stroked the highest individual score in women’s ODI history. She broke a 19-year-old record set by Belinda Clarke of Australia during her knock of 232 against Ireland in 2018. However, the all-rounder was always known as a child prodigy.

She made her domestic cricket debut when she was 14 and later on went on to make her international debut at 16. She is the youngest to have represented New Zealand women’s cricket so far and she has been taking long strides at the highest level. She has been quite impressive with her leg-spin bowling, which is her main job in the side.

But, it could be surprising for many that she is simultaneously pursuing a BA degree in education and sociology along with breaking world records. The all-rounder is expected to continue her degree even if the cricket schedule gets intense, she had been quoted once for saying that it brings balance to her life.
