He played 24 Tests from the period of 1933 to 1952 scoring 878 runs at an average of 24.38. He also scored a century and four fifties apart from having a long first-class career.</p>
<p>Lala&#8217;s son Mohinder played an immense part in the <strong><a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20-world-cup-2022-3-indian-players-who-might-miss-the-tournament-due-to-constant-injury-concerns/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">World Cup</a></strong>-winning campaign for India in 1983 with back-to-back match-winning performances.
