5. Eoin Morgan (England)

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Eoin Morgan went on to become one of the most successful captains to lead England in the international arena. Morgan has also represented Ireland in the international arena, before shifting to England and continuing his professional cricketing career.

Under the leadership of Morgan, the Three Lions went on to win the 50-over World Cup in 2019. He also led England to the finals of the 2016 T20 World Cup but they lost to West Indies by 4 wickets. Earlier, Morgan was also part of the England squad in 2010 when they won their first World T20 title.

The Three Lions started playing an aggressive brand of cricket under Morgan’s captaincy as they also went on to become the No. 1 team in one-day internationals (ODI) and T20Is. Under his leadership, team England also registered the highest ODI total against the Netherlands in 2022 when they scored 498/4 in 50 overs, they also went on to win that game by 232 runs.
