S Sreesanth was a part of World Cup victories in 2007 and 2011. There was a bright future ahead of him and he was a decent third pacer for MS Dhoni. However, his actions doomed his career. And his story is an example of how indiscipline can ruin a career.

Sreesanth has played 27 Test matches and 53 ODIs. Adding on, an experience of 44 IPL games is proof that he was a decent bowler in every format. On his day, he can win matches by the virtue of his skills. But, an IPL game in 2013, changed his life forever.

In 2013, he was involved in a spot-fixing scandal, and his teammate, Ankeet Chavan was banned for life by the BCCI. And as a result, he was banned for seven long years by the board. As this incident left a mark on the IPL, Sreesanth makes it to this list. For a player who was well established in the circuit, a spot-fixing scandal was strong enough to shock the system.
