Celebrating is an integral part of cricket. A batsman scoring 100 runs or a bowler picking up a wicket is a huge achievement for an individual and a team as well. After scoring a century, generally a batsman raises his bat to acknowledge the crowd and then his partner mostly hugs him/her to congratulate.

Also, after picking up a wicket, the players get together to congratulate the bowler while also giving a high five to their teammates. Hugging and giving a high-five to each other could stop as it leads to physical contact between the players, another cause for the transmission of the Coronavirus.

Also, when a few of the matches were played behind closed doors recently, the players had avoided over the top celebrations amongst their teammates. They had resorted fist bumping after picking up a wicket.
