Back in 2019, Kieron Pollard was appointed as the ODI and T20I skipper of the West Indies, replacing Jason Holder. The Trinidadian has been guilty of losing his cool owing to which he has had to bear the brunt of the apex cricket board.

Pollard is a kind of character, who doesn’t prefer to hold himself back. The incident where he threw the bat at Mitchell Starc in the IPL is pretty afresh in the minds. Even in the IPL 2019, he was fined 25 per cent of his match fees for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision.

Once he taped his mouth after the umpires asked him to not talk too much on the field. Last year in August, he was meted out with a 20 per cent fine of match fees in the T20I series versus India. He was also given a demerit point for the offence in the match at the Lauderhill in Florida.
