Saba was a wicket keeper batsman for the team and substituted Nayan Mongia as the Indian wicket keeper. He made his international debut back in 1996 but his cricketing career was cut short when a ball bowled by Anil Kumble was hit his eyes. Saba managed to play just 34 ODIs for India before his career was ended due to the eye injury. Injury posed a massive threat to his cricketing career and destroyed it in the process.
