The Kings XI Punjab had the most destructive batting lineup during the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. Well, they were unable to make it to the playoffs even after a superb comeback during the final phase of the tournament. Before moving to another auction, the management has decided to let go of one of their most prolific batsmen, Glenn Maxwell! The Australian all-rounder had a horrible IPL season last year.

During the thirteenth edition, the Australian all-rounder scored only 108 runs off 106 balls! Adding on, he could not score a single six and had to contribute with the ball to ensure that the team was able to exert pressure on the opposition. With the ball, Maxwell had a decent outing as he bowled with an economy rate of 8.04. But, this was never enough for him to retain his spot, therefore, he was released.

However, the “Big-Show” was back in form and was a vital contributor to Australia’s victory over India during the ODI series. Apart from that, he scored 379 runs in 13 innings in BBL 2020-21. Talking about his strike rate, he had a brilliant strike rate of 143.56 with the highest score of 71. For a batsman who failed in the most lucrative league, these are excellent figures. Therefore, Maxwell makes it to this list of 5 flops in IPL 2020 who did well in BBL 2020-21.
