Quite a few South Africans have graced the stage of IPL but not many have been as destructive as David Miller. He’s been associated with Kings XI Punjab since 2012 and has time and again proved to the world why he’s considered amongst the hardest hitters of the game.

2013 was the year when Miller truly unleashed himself in the IPL as he scored 418 runs in 12 matches including a sensational knock of 101* off just 38 balls against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. His performances in the competition didn’t go unnoticed as he was called to the national side after spending the last two years on the fringes. Miller played a total of 24 ODIs in 2013 and truly cemented his position in the South African setup. IPL truly is a career-maker, isn’t it?

Miller has gone on to score more 3000 runs in the 50-over format for the Proteas and has been a prominent part of South Africa’s middle order. The avid fans of South African cricket will agree to the fact that it was IPL, where David Miller reached his full potential.
