5 India A players who can be a part of Indian team in 2023 World Cup
These players need to be groomed so that they can potentially play a pivotal role in the 2023 World Cup for India.
5. Deepak Chahar
A bowler who is on par with the Indian bowling attack with regards to the new ball swing is unsurprisingly, the 28-year-old, Deepak Chahar. Having finished as the third-highest wicket-taker in this year’s IPL edition, Chahar has established himself as a fine new-ball bowler and gained the spotlight in the cash-rich league.
The Rajasthan fast bowler was the top wicket-taker in the 2017/18 Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament with 19 wickets in nine games. He also starred for India A against England Lions in the 50-over format. After experiencing the sweet taste of success, he was soon called up for the ODI and T20 series in 2018 but played just one game each in both formats.
With recent praises by the Indian captain himself following his impressive form against West Indies and consistent performances in the domestic circuit as well as the IPL, the right-handed bowler could become a regular feature in the national team in the coming years and be a part of the Indian bowling unit in the 2023 WC.
