Virat Kohli and Mitchell Johnson are two players who are have been involved in many on-field battles. But, the rivalry between the two began from Boxing Day Test match back in 2014. On Day-3 of the match. Kohli arrived on the crease after the dismissal of Cheteshwar Pujaara. He was welcomed by Aussie pace bowling attack with short balls that was making it difficult for the Indian batsman to get settled on the wicket.
But suddenly, an instance on the field happened that attracted a big controversy. The Indian skipper played the ball towards Johnson, who soon picked the ball and attempted a non-existent run-out. However, the ball directly hit Kohli, who looked in pain. It was pretty visible that the Aussie pacer wanted to just break the concentration of Kohli.
Later on, Kohli took the charge against <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/indian-fans-criticize-mitchell-johnson-for-mocking-virat-kohli-the-pacer-reacts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Johnson</a> and smacked all across the park that brought the spectators on the feet. He played a fine knock of 169 runs against Australia in the first innings of that game and had some-more heated moments on the field with Johnson but that didn&#8217;t get recorded in the mics fitted on the field.

Australia is one of the teams that is known for sledging their opponents to an extent. They push the opponent players to a level that they are usually left with no option but to retaliate. But, there is always an umpire present on the field who holds the responsibility to cool things down between the players.
However, they have no hold on the crowd that can mock the players on the field in whatever fashion they want to do.
