Australia is one of the teams that is known for sledging their opponents to an extent. They push the opponent players to a level that they are usually left with no option but to retaliate. But, there is always an umpire present on the field who holds the responsibility to cool things down between the players.

However, they have no hold on the crowd that can mock the players on the field in whatever fashion they want to do. The same happened with Virat Kohli who was poorly sledged by the Aussie crowd during a Test match between India and Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground. Later on, he showed middle-finger towards a certain segment of spectators.

After the match, he agreed that cricketers have no right to say anything to the crowd. But sometimes, things go from bad to worse when they pass personal remarks. He was also fined for his actions during the match by match referee Ranjan Madugalle.
