3. Ambati Rayudu – Harbhajan Singh, 2016
During their stint for the Mumbai Indians, Ambati Rayudu and Harbhajan Singh have been thoroughly productive. The duo shared a decent relationship and excelled in their first season for the Chennai Super Kings in 2018 as well. But there was one incident in 2016 which raised a lot of eyebrows.
During a game against Rising Pune Supergiant, Saurabh Tiwary pulled Harbhajan towards mid-wicket and Rayudu’s fielding effort didn’t impress the Turbanator. He was quick to lash on to the Hyderabad cricket, who shouted back at him as well. Rayudu didn’t receive the tantrum quite well and it was pretty clear on the television.
While Bhajji tried to apologize and wrap his arm around him, Rayudu shrugged him off and walked back to his fielding position. A couple of years later, both cricketers accepted that it was an on-field thing which didn’t affect their personal relationship.
