5 IPL records that may never be broken
These records will definitely be tough to break in the near future.
2. Chris Gayle’s 175* vs Pune Warriors in IPL 2013
Chris Gayle is one of the greatest T20 players of all time. He has played several memorable innings in this form of the game, but the one we are talking about is just on a different level.
Chris Gayle’s 175 against the now-defunct Pune Warriors isn’t just the highest score in IPL history, but also in the rich history of T20 cricket. The whirlwind knock consisted of 13 fours and a record-breaking 17 sixes. His innings had helped RCB post a massive total of 263, which is the highest team score in IPL.
The former RCB player was in a terrific form that season as he scored 708 runs in 16 games and finished second in the race for the Orange Cap. Scoring a hundred in T20s is quite a difficult task and to score 175 is pretty much impossible, and thus this memorable knock makes it to the list.
