The cricketing community will always associate the Indian team with exceptional batting talents. From Sunil Gavaskar to Sachin Tendulkar the team has been served by some of the batting superstars of the gentlemen’s game. Even now the Blue team has a couple of batting geniuses in the form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Apart from them, there are other well-known batsmen in the current Indian team.

Mainly in the T20 set-up as they have an elusive batting order consisting of players with different batting attributes. To be precise there is Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan who provide the solidarity at the top while KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer strengthen the middle-order. And then there is Virat Kohli who is the only batsman to average above 50 in T20Is. So, it is fair to say that the Indian team will have one of the strongest batting units in the 6th edition of the T20 championship.

Still, in recent times the Indian cricket fans have doubted the potency of their batting unit. The reason being their miserable performances in swinging conditions. For far too many times the Indian team has committed the same mistakes when the white-ball starts snaking around. It seems the batsmen are only expecting batting surfaces which is not the case in countries like Australia and England. Hence, it is high time that their batting unit should learn to bat according to pitch conditions.
