He was a horror sight for every batsman in the 90s and the consistency with which he managed to scare batsmen for over a decade was simply remarkable. Courtney Walsh is certainly one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time and also was a fine gentleman, who barely got into any controversies. He was pretty self-disciplined and tries to ensure youngsters around him understand the importance of the chances they are getting.

Walsh worked as the selector for Windies cricket previously and also was the bowling coach for Bangladesh for a good amount of time. During his tenure, he developed the likes of Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and many others through his expertise. Having someone who understands the players and also tries to maintain the discipline quotient pretty high is a top contender to coach this current Indian side and in that regard, he certainly would be a great option.
