5. Shane Warne
Shane Warne, the former leg spinner from Australia was a nightmare for any batsman across the globe during his cricketing days. He signed off his career as one of the best spin bowlers of cricket, who took a total of 37 five-wicket hauls throughout his Test career. The former player still holds the record for the most wickets in Tests with 708 wickets.
He was one of the spinners, who reaped out success with spin bowling on any ground but not Lord’s. Yes, he never managed a breakthrough performance at the aforementioned stadium. Interestingly, on three occasions Warne came closer to get his name engraved on Lord’s Honour Board but failed.
Actually,he played a total of four Tests at Lords in which he grabbed 19 wickets with the help of three four-wicket hauls. It looks like his destiny itself didn’t want his name on the honours board.
