A player who has been performing reasonably well in the last three domestic seasons, Rajneesh Gurbani, for some unknown reason, has surprisingly failed to win an IPL contract even once. Vidarbha’s star performer with the ball in their title-winning campaigns in 2017-18 and 2018-19, Gurbani is still waiting for a chance to showcase his skills with the white ball.

The fast bowler was Vidarbha’s leading wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy 2018 with 39 wickets, where he also picked up 12 wickets in the semifinal against Karnataka and a hat-trick in the final. A lot of people expected him to cause a bidding war last season, but that wasn’t to be the case as no franchise showed any interest.

Not often we see an Indian talent producing such good performances go unsold, but that could not be the case this time. He’s quick and can move the ball both ways, something the RCB franchise could need to strengthen their weakest link. He could potentially add a lot of quality to the side and form an interesting partnership with Navdeep Saini.
