5 Moments of insanity in the T10 league 2018
Here are five moments of insanity that we witnessed during the second edition of the T10 league.
4. The man with 4 wickets in 4 balls:
Aamer Yamin was one of the few bowlers who succeeded with swing in the first edition of the tournament by taking four wickets across four games at an economy rate of 10. In the first game of the 2018 season, Yamin began with an over in which he conceded only one four and bowled five dot balls. He returned for his second over when Northern Warriors needed 50 from two overs.
A struggling Lendl Simmons was caught behind on the first ball of the over while Rowman Powell and Ravi Bopara were caught attempting for big shots on the next two deliveries and Yamin completed a hat-trick. Hardus Viljoen mistimed a bouncer on the very next ball that popped back to the bowler. Thus, Yamim completed a double hat-trick and aimed for five in five.
However, Wahab Riaz was good enough to defend the 5th delivery to deny his country-mate another wicket. The last ball of the over was also a dot ball and Aamer Yamim became the first player to bowl a maiden over in T10 cricket. He finished with bowling figures of 2-1-4-4 out of which 11 were dot balls.
