At the age of 47, Pravin Tambe got his first taste of the T10 cricket and he was assigned to bowl the first over of the game. Against the defending champions and start-studded Kerala Knights, Tambe conceded six wides before bowling a legal delivery. On the second ball of the over, he had Chris Gayle’s wicket and also Eoin Morgan two balls later.

Both the wickets didn’t come off convincing deliveries but he improved with the next few deliveries. On the penultimate delivery of the over, Tambe cleaned up Kieron Pollard and followed it by bowling out Fabian Allen. Thus, Tambe completed a hat-trick and picked four wickets in an over about 30 minutes after Aamer Yamin’s efforts.

The leg-spinner cleaned up Upul Tharanga in the very next over to complete a five-wicket haul. Tambe finished with 5/15 in his two overs out of which seven runs came in wides. Taking a five-wicket haul is a special achievement in any format but in the T10 League, where a bowler gets only 12 balls to bowl, the feat is an insane achievement.
