You might have noticed that Kohli’s bats are sponsored by MRF (Madras Rubber Factory). Until 2013, Kohli used to sport the logo of Nike on his bat. However, after that MRF signed him up for a contract for four years. In 2017, the contract expired but the company wanted to have Kohli on board for a longer time.

MRF signed the Indian captain for an eight-year deal worth more than INR 100 crores. This evaluates to INR 12 per year. The deal will expire in 2025. So, until then Kohli will sport the logo of MRF on his bat. MRF has always had some really well-known cricketers signing up for them.

Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Steve Waugh were three players who had contracts with the company. Later on, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir had contracts with the company. Shikhar Dhawan too had a deal from 2013 till 2019. Currently, Kohli and AB de Villiers are the only ones who have contracts with MRF.
