Shan Masood
He might not be a popular name in the international circuit but Shan Masood is a highly rated cricketer in the Pakistan domestic circuit. He averages around 54 in his List-A career. The left-hander is also part of the Pakistan Test team. He is a top-order batsman who has a good technique and mostly relies on his timing to score runs.
Though the southpaw has not enjoyed the same success in the internationals his domestic heroics cannot be questioned. A year ago he was averaging 58 in his List-A career and the numbers brought him on par with Virat Kohli. During those days he joined the podcast hosted by Dennis Freedman where he shared his cricketing dreams and plans.
In that light-hearted talk, Freedman compared his stats with Kohli’s List-A record. In reply, Masood stated that he is happy to be equated with such a great player. He cheekily added that currently his average is better than the Indian and wished to continue the good work. Hearing this many Kohli fans trolled him but he later apologized for comparing himself with the modern-day great.
