2. Kedar Jadhav
It is fair to say that Kedar Jadhav is probably the most selfless cricketer of the current Indian set-up. The short-statured cricketer has contributed to the country’s white-ball team in every possible way. Not only he has scored important runs down the order but he has also chipped in with useful wickets whenever the skipper has handed over the ball to him.
Jadhav has been a valuable addition to the Men in Blue side and has played an effective role in their recent white-ball success. That’s why he has also been bagging elusive IPL contracts in the last couple of years. However, unlike his international career, Kedar has not able to dictate his terms in the league. In his 9 year career, he has only managed 1100 runs at an average of 23.
Besides he has never played a defining inning in his 79 appearances except for his last-over heroics in the inaugural tie of IPL 2018. There also he suffered a hamstring injury to miss the entire season. Thereafter, when he returned to the 2019 IPL his poor returns continued as he gathered mere 160 runs in 14 games. So its high time that Jadhav make-up for his recent failures as he is at an age where another poor IPL season will result in a permanent omission.
