Eoin Morgan
It comes as a little surprise having the English limited-overs captain at the top of the list. A World Cup winner, Eoin Morgan has transformed the landscape of white-ball cricket in England. An astute captain, the Irishman also possesses the calmness to excel in this challenging era of limited-overs cricket.
Finishing as the second-highest run-scorer (192), Morgan also became the first English cricketer to amass 2000 runs in T20 internationals in this series. After bobbling the run-chases in Wellington and Nelson in the second and third game respectively, Morgan, along with Malan trounced the New Zealand bowlers in Napier.
The 33-year old scored a quickfire 17 in a lofty chase in the series finale before pulling off an outstanding catch in the Super Over to dismiss Tim Seifert. Teams like Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals could rope in the Irishman since the lack of a strong captain, and a sound awareness of any situation have deprived them of a maiden IPL title. Along with being a productive captain, Morgan can also tick the box in the area of power-hitting when needed.
