<p>As mentioned earlier, this Mumbai batting line-up is amongst the best in this format. They have got so much firepower in their top six that they can rip apart any bowling attack on a given day. And it is so pleasing to the eyes to see them go about their business, playing their natural game without thinking too much about the game situations.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, there is also a downside of having such an elusive batting unit as some other players of the squad are robbed of their deserved opportunities. And it is exactly what has happened to <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/get-us-a-water-brah-trent-boult-trolls-chris-lynn-for-warming-the-mumbai-indians-bench-in-ipl-2020/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Chris Lynn</strong></a> in IPL 2020. The hard-hitting batsman from Australia is yet to get a game in this season. It is quite unfair to him considering the fact that he has scored over 800 runs over the last two seasons.</p>
<p>Lynn is too good a batsman to warm benches in the best T20 league of the globe. He can single-handedly win games for his team. But for that to happen, he needs to play more often, which seems next to impossible if he continues his IPL sojourn with the Mumbai Indians. So for the greater good, the franchise should release him before the next season, as there is no way he can fit into this Rohit Sharma-led side.</p>

<p>Looking back at the league stages of IPL 2020, the one thing that stands out is how various keeper-batsmen have flourished in this season. To be precise, seven of the top 20 run-scorers in this year&#8217;s event have been keeper-batsmen. And a couple of them are from the Mumbai Indians&#8217; camp, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2020-quinton-de-kock-reveals-the-tougher-bowler-to-face-between-jasprit-bumrah-and-trent-boult/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Quinton de Kock</strong></a> and Ishan Kishan. Both the players have been putting on match-winning performances with the bat one after another.</p>
<p>Apart from that, the former&#8217;s work behind the stumps has been exemplary. Not only has he taken some good catches, but he has also been involved in sharp stumpings. It also means, in this season, Kishan hasn&#8217;t had the opportunity to don the keeping gloves till now. But he can do it if the team wants him to play that role in the future. Hence, the franchise is already enjoying the luxury of having two top quality keeper-batsmen in their squad.</p>
<p>It also implies that the team doesn&#8217;t need another player in the same category. And that&#8217;s why they should let go of Aditya Tare ahead of the next season. Although the Mumbaikar has made some valuable contributions to the side in the past, he hasn&#8217;t played a game since 2018. It is a clear indication that he is their reserve option for adversities. At 33, Tare will not be around for long, so now the franchise should let him play a few more games in the league, even if it is not for them.</p>
<h3>5) Jayant Yadav</h3>

<p>Coming into this tournament, the Mumbai Indians would have been a little worried about the limited arms in their spin department. But luckily for them, both their frontline spinners, Rahul Chahar and <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2020-ms-dhoni-gifts-hardik-and-krunal-pandya-his-csk-jersey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Krunal Pandya</strong></a>, have done reasonably well. They have managed to keep things under control in the middle-overs. And at times has also provided the team with timely strikes. All in all, they have played their part efficiently.</p>
<p>It can also be validated from their stats. While Chahar has picked up 15 wickets, Krunal has shone through with his stunning economy rate of 7.59. Thus, it is a combination that has served well for the team. Hence, it is highly unlikely that the team would prefer another spinner ahead of them in the playing XI in the coming times unless the conditions are tailor-made for spin bowling.</p>
<p>In that case, it is just a waiting game for the Indian capped spinner, Jayant Yadav. Even though he has been around the team for two seasons, he has only made three appearances. From that, it is evident that the team management utilizes him on sluggish tracks or to rest one of their regular players. But even that can change as now they might consider grooming other young spinners of the side, Anukul Roy and Prince Balwant Rai. Hence now the franchise should release him so that both can start a new chapter in the IPL.</p>
