5 Players to watch out for in the Sri Lanka v India Test series: The India- Sri Lanka test series will be starting on 12th August at Galle. The Indian team has not won a series in Sri Lanka for the last 22 years. The last time India played in Sri Lanka the series was 1-1. Sri Lanka would be low on confidence after losing the series against Pakistan but will be hoping to give Sangakkara a fitting farewell in his final Test series. It promises to be an exciting battle between two teams which has some exciting players. Here we look the 5 players which would decide the fate of the series 5 Players to watch out for in the Sri Lanka v India Test series: 1. Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli. (Photo Source: Getty Images) Virat Kohli will be leading the Indian team in his first full series as a captain. In the series against Australia he performed brilliantly. He captained in two matches in Test series in Australia and almost won the first Test. He will be making his debut against Sri Lanka in test matches. Kohli needs to lead from the front and come back in form which will be very important for India if they have to win the series. 2. Kumar Sangakkara: Kumar Sangakkara will love to end his career on a high. (Photo Source: AFP) Kumar Sangakkara has been a role model for Sri Lankan cricket in the last 15 years. He will be playing the first two Test matches. He needs to bat well in these two test matches if Sri Lanka has to win the series. Sangakkara did not score too many in the series against Pakistan but would be looking to play well against India. His record against India is great and will be looking to score big and end his Test carrier on a high note. 3. Ravichandran Ashwin: (© Getty Images) Ravichandran Ashwin will be main spinner for India in the Test series against Sri Lanka. He has good height and can get a lot of bounce which are suitable for Sri Lankan conditions. He and if the other two spinners play together then it will be Ashwin’s job to take wickets and also control the flow of runs. In the Bangladesh Test match played in June he was the pick of the bowlers. He needs support from the rest of bowler’s especially fast bowlers. Ashwin will be playing for the first time in Sri Lankan. 4.
