5 Players to watch out for in the Asia Cup T20 final

The Asia Cup T20 2016 has been nothing short of exciting. The road to the final for both the sides was completely different. While India started of beating the hosts, Bangladesh pulled off exciting wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan to enter into the final. The experienced team India will be firm favorites, they will know all too well to not underestimate the Bangladeshis at their own peril. Among the many stars that have been showcased, we take a closer look at five players to watch out for in the final as the Asia Cup T20 draws to a close. 1. Yuvraj Singh: Yuvraj Singh. (Photo Source: BCCI) Yuvraj Singh has been batting like a man possessed in the recent matches. An impressive 35 against Sri Lanka saw Yuvraj roll back the years with some vintage power-hitting. He carried the impressive performance to the following match against the UAE. Needless to say, the faith and the patience showed have paid off with Yuvraj finally stringing a few impressive performances. All eyes will be on his batting and bowling. He is the second highest run-getter for India with 89 runs. He also has 4 sixes and 1 wicket to his name. 2. Al-Amin Hossain: Bangladesh cricketer Al-Amin Hossain. He came into his own following the exclusion of Mustafizur Rahman, leading an incredibly young and inexperienced bowling attack. Al-Amin is also the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the tournament, taking 10 wickets in the four matches played. On Sunday, millions of Bangladeshi hopes will be pinned on his young shoulders as he prepares to face the toughest competition of his career yet. 3. Sabbir Rahman: Sabbir Rahman. (Photo Source: AFP) Sabbir Rahman has been Bangladesh’s best batsman of the tournament by a country mile. Scoring runs on a difficult wicket Sabbir has shown his class and maturity each time he went out to bat. His 80 against Sri Lanka saw him single-handedly win the match for Bangladesh. He is currently Bangladesh’s leading run-scorer with 144 runs in 4 matches played. 4. Hardik Pandya: Hardik Pandya. (Photo Source: BCCI) Apart from the wild celebrations, each time he gets a wicket, Hardik Pandya has been nothing short of a breath of fresh air each time he has donned the Indian jersey. His impressive fielding was perhaps the first thing noticed by the opposing sides trying to sneak in a run. His batting came to the fore in the opening match against Bangladesh where he smashed a quickfire 31. He is also India’s leading wicket-taker with 7 wickets. Pandya also has the best figures of the tournament with 3/8 against Pakistan. 5. Virat Kohli: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli (R) and Yuvraj Singh. While the first match saw him take an aggressive approach, in the second he rotate the strike and put the bad ball away. He is India’s top run-scorer in the competition with 112 runs in 4 matches. Whether the top order fails or have created a platform, Virat has to play the most important part of holding the Indian batting together.
