The BCCI recently announced the ODI and T20I squads for India’s tour of Australia that will begin on January 12, 2016. While some names were pretty easy to predict, a lot of youngsters have made it to the squad for the tour. Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Brainder Sran and Rishi Dhawan are among the rookies who have been selected in the ODI squad while Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya found his name in the T20I side as well. But the highlight of the selection was the inclusion of players who will be making a comeback into the national side. A lot of fans wanted to see these players in action, and here they are all set to make a return wearing the blue jersey.
Here are the 5 Players who are making a comeback in the Indian squad:
1. Yuvraj Singh:
While all the names making the comeback are fruitful to watch, one name that stands on top of everybody else is, Yuvraj Singh. India’s World Cup hero, Yuvraj couldn’t quite make it into the side after he was diagnosed with cancer after a successful 2011 World Cup. He battled it out and made a comeback for India in 2013, but couldn’t hold on to his position. Yuvraj last played an ODI in 2013 against South Africa. He has been named in the T20I squad for the Australian tour. His last T20 for the national side came in 2014 during the finals of the ICC World T20 against Sri Lanka. Yuvraj was unlucky to have missed out on becoming the World Cup hero one more time then. He now would make a comeback in Australia next year.
