While some names were pretty easy to predict, a lot of youngsters have made it to the squad for the tour. Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Brainder Sran and Rishi Dhawan are among the rookies who have been selected in the ODI squad while Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya found his name in the T20I side as well. But the highlight of the selection was the inclusion of players who will be making a comeback into the national side. A lot of fans wanted to see these players in action, and here they are all set to make a return wearing the blue jersey.

India’s World Cup hero, Yuvraj couldn’t quite make it into the side after he was diagnosed with cancer after a successful 2011 World Cup. He has been named in the T20I squad for the Australian tour. His last T20 for the national side came in 2014 during the finals of the ICC World T20 against Sri Lanka. Yuvraj was unlucky to have missed out on becoming the World Cup hero one more time then. He now would make a comeback in Australia next year.

Ever since becoming the first Indian to score an IPL century, Pandey has been in the reckoning for national selection but has not quite got his opportunities. Pandey has been picked up in the ODI squad for the Australian tour. Prior to this, Pandey, who has played 85 List A games, has played for India just once. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe at Harare earlier this year. He scored 71 runs in the match. But since then, he has been largely ignored. He could not find himself in the team against South Africa. So the Australian tour will be a comeback chance for this youngster from Karnataka.

Shami played a key role in India’s run till the semi-finals of World Cup this year with 17 wickets at 17.29 and an economy rate of 4.81.
