Indian cricket has always produced superstars and in this decade it was the story of a small-town boy lifting the World Cup on the night of 2nd April 2011 at Wankhede. MS Dhoni has won all the important championships while leading Men in Blue and above all the hearts of billion people. He has inspired a generation and his contributions to world cricket are invaluable.

The cricketing fraternity will remember Captain Cool as a cricketer who provided them the edge of the seat thrillers. Dhoni has played more than 500 international games and all his runs are worth gold dust as it came whenever the team needed them most. Still, he is serving the Indian team by guiding the youngsters in the side.

In 2019 World Cup, it was again in Dhoni’s hands to lead the team to World Cup final but he fell short by an inch shattering the dreams of millions of supporters. After the game, the fans were expecting the legend to bid farewell at the grandest stage. At the end like his batting, there was a twist in the tail when he announced a two month sabbatical from the game and now he might retire with a formal statement.
