Ever since Jonny Bairstow started batting at the top of the order in white-ball cricket, he has become a force to reckon with. He has given England flying starts more often than not. Alongside Jason Roy, he forms a formidable opening pair. Bairstow in the last couple of years has scored in excess of 1500 runs, averaging close to 58 and striking over 110.

In fact, over the last one year (2018), he amassed 1025 runs, notching up four hundreds and was one of the only three players to register 1000+ runs in ODI cricket in 2018. He was also named in the ICC ODI Team of the Year for 2018.

Bairstow has a formidable record at home since the start of 2017. He has played 17 innings and has scored 884 runs at a superb average of 73.66. Thus, with the World Cup at home, the 29-year-old Yorkshire lad is certainly one to look out for.
