Kiwi captain Kane Williamson is currently the number 1 ranked batsman in ICC Test rankings. He has amassed 7115 runs in his Test career at an average of 54.31. It includes 24 centuries and 32 half-centuries.
Williamson has played 144 innings in his Test career so far. To go past Lara and Tendulkar, Williamson needs to score 2,885 runs in 50 innings.
He has hit four double tons in the format, with a high score of 251 against the West Indies that came in 2020. If Williamson continues his great form, he may be in contention to break the record.
