5 players who might be transferred mid-season via inter-team loan in IPL 2020
The introduction of inter-term loan system could see a lot of transfers being done and the teams would try to fill out all of the loopholes.
5. Mohammed Siraj
Mohammed Siraj, when he came into the tournament, showed a lot of promise and this led to an exponential rise in his popularity among the fraternity. But, as time passed, expensive overs and inconsistent bowling led to his downfall in the popularity and preference charts for both the fans and the team that he is a part of.
Siraj’s journey in the cricket has been quite eventful. Especially the Indian Premier League has both the best and the worst of him in the short period of time that he has been playing in it. In his debut season in 2017, he bowled 23 overs and got 10 wickets under his belt.
The following season saw the pressure of such an intense tournament taking over his edge that made him special. In the 2018 and 2019 season, he bowled over 60 overs and was able to manage to get 18 wickets. His economy has also been a point of concern for his captain. In a format like T20 cricket, he has had an economy rate of 9.22, 8.95 and 9.55 in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 season respectively.
All of this coupled with the entry of players like Shivam Dube and Isuru Udana who have been doing really well in the last few months could become the reason for Siraj having to join another team in the middle of the season if the franchise decides to loan out players to other teams.
