4. Jason Holder (3/34 against Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Next in the list is West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder. In the 12th match of the season, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Having put to bat first, the Super Giants managed a decent total of 169, riding on half-centuries from KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda. It looked like anybody’s game at the halfway mark.
But the Lucknow bowlers did well to keep the team in the hunt. The match went till the last over with 16 runs needed off the final six deliveries. KL Rahul handed the ball to the seasoned all-rounder Jason Holder who was playing against his former side Sunrisers Hyderabad. In his previous 3 overs, Holder had conceded 31 runs without taking a wicket. But the all-rounder stepped up in the last over, taking three wickets and derailing the run chase.
Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shepherd were his victims. SRH could only manage three runs of the final over, giving Lucknow a win by 12 runs. Holdar eventually finished with figures of 3/34 in his four overs. Avesh Khan was adjudged with the player of the match award. The seamer picked up four wickets, conceding only 24 runs.
