5 Players who went from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to Mumbai Indians (MI)
These players played for different teams during their IPL stints.
Tim Southee
Tim Southee came up the ranks through the Under-19 World Cup and was slowly making a mark in international cricket. In 2011, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked him up from the auction. In that season, the New Zealand fast bowler played five games and picked up four wickets.
However, he was expensive as he went at 8.73 runs an over. Thus, he was released after the season. He wasn’t a part of the IPL for a few years before Rajasthan Royals (RR) bought him. In 2016, Mumbai Indians (MI) showed interest in the pacer and bought him.
Southee played 14 games across two seasons. But he wasn’t really effective as he could take just 12 wickets and they came at an economy of 8.01. Thus, be it for MI or CSK or any other team, Southee hasn’t been much of a hit in the IPL.
