The newest prince of innovation on the block, Glen Maxwell finally hit an ODI century in this World Cup. He is known for his ability to step on the gas from the moment he comes into bat. His innovations like the reverse sweep, and clean hitting abilities have made him a dangerous candidate for India bowling.

His drawback is in his game play of hitting everything out of the ground, he gives bowlers and fielders chances to dismiss him. Susceptible to spin bowling, however he has Ashwin’s number, scoring freely against him in the ODI series last year in India.

If he gets going, it will be difficult for India to contain Australia to a small or manageable total in the semi-final.
